Summary
Two children are rescued from a kidnapper and murderer after years of torture and abuse. The oldest, formerly Ben Solo and now Kylo Ren, feels a desperate need to protect four-year-old Rey as they enter the freedom, as well as the new terrors, of the outside world. How will they recover from what they experienced? The years to come will challenge them both as the scars underneath refuse to heal.
This is a modern-day AU that will follow Ben and Rey as they grow up and deal with what happened, as well as their feelings for one another and how they transform over time.

Summary
Ben Solo does not like to be touched. He has never accepted a massage from any of the pretty young women Snoke likes to send to his changing room, white towels draped over their arms and smelling of oils and incense. Aside from a few misguided, alcohol-fueled trysts, he doesn’t remember the last time that someone has laid their hands on him outside of a movie set.
But the sweet brush of Rey’s fingers on his skin is like heaven. Ben is sure he is melting on her exam table. The firm press of her fingertips continue dragging up the cords of his neck, leaving goosebumps in their wake. He feels his lips parting gently to the cool air, trembling.
“Is this all right?” she murmurs, sugar-sweet.
“Yes,” he tries to say. He prays he didn’t let out a deep groan instead.
OR
Ben Solo refuses to take a stunt double and pays the price when he breaks his leg filming his latest action blockbuster. His new physical therapist, Rey Sanders, seems to be the only person in Hollywood who doesn’t recognize the infamous Kylo Ren – and for some reason, he finds himself fighting to keep it that way.

Rey is back in New York from college and while out celebrating her degree, she unwittingly sees the man who once was her world, killing someone outside a nightclub. A shriek escapes before she can kill it on her tongue, and Ben kidnaps Rey, demanding her to pay the money he lost because of her bad timing.
Since she has no money, she's forced to accept Ben's job offer to join the mafia. Rey quickly learns Ben is not the man she once loved; he was now called Kylo Ren and the monster reigned. No shred of humanity left and thoroughly lost in the darkness. But the habit of the body was nonetheless present, and she swore she would fight it to the heavens.

Tired of writing crummy loglines and sending tv pilot treatments to God Knows Where, Rey is ready to get out of the mailroom of Jakku Agencies. When she runs into a frazzled writer on the street and nearly saves his job, her wish is granted as she lands a job as the line producer of the most coveted reality television show, Sincerely, Skywalker.
Really, someone should have warned Rey about working for reality television- or the Skywalker family, for that matter.
