Summary
“‘Blanc. What is this?” But only one thing could upset Benoit Blanc this much, “What’s happened to Jud?”
“Cy Wicks sent a lawyer down here with some very interesting information…and I’m sitting here figuring you already have a pretty good idea what that might have been.’”
Oh, God.
The truth of Jud’s paternity is revealed when Cy reaches out for medical help, blowing the lid off a secret Langstrom has been carrying for years.
A “What if Wicks was Jud’s Father, Too?” Thought Experiment.

Summary
Dennis shakes his head, fearfully disagreeing. "Langdon, you're a doctor. You're putting patients at high risk using that stuff on the clock. You know I can't stay quiet about this. We can go to Dr. Robby. He can–"
"Oh, you'd love to bring Robby into this, wouldn't you?" Langdon hisses.
"What are you—"
"I saw you two."
Dennis's stomach falls a hundred stories. The moisture in his mouth vanishes. He's ghost white. It's so obvious to Langdon that what he just said won him the upper hand.
Or
Dennis knows Langdon’s secret, and Langdon knows Dennis’s. Things get intense.

Summary
"Shit," Jud says, more to himself than Blanc. "Okay. Blanc, I—" his voice shudders, on the verge of breaking. "I don't think I can be here anymore."
There's a desperate, fatalistic edge to it that makes Blanc's blood run cold. "Where? Why? I'll come get you." He's already out of his seat.
"No, you don't have to— I—"
"Jud, where can't you be anymore," he demands as kindly as he can. He struggles to get his coat on, passing his phone from one hand to the other.
"The church. The church, Blanc. I can't do it."
"Alright. Alright."

Summary
Dennis stared at him. His antennae were doing something complicated again, the tips curling in a way Robby had learned to associate with deep, complicated emotion. “You’re going to carry me.”
“Yes.”
“Like – like a – ”
“Like a backpack,” Robby said firmly. “Or a child. Or a very large, very attached moth. Which you are. I don’t care. We’re doing it.”
or dennis latches onto a candle jar like a sticky note, and demonstrates exactly why the phrase “like a moth to a flame” is not merely a poetic suggestion but a biological imperative
