Spamton’s not sure when they’d stopped. Tenna’s office is getting stuffy with smoke, trailing from his mouth and Tenna’s vents, paperwork forgotten on the table next to his lounger. The TV is laid across the couch, too-tall legs hanging off the arm, and Spamton had dragged his ridiculous vanity stool over to sit at the end of the table next to his business partner’s head. He flicks the ash off his cigarette and a few flecks miss the ashtray, settling on the wood.
He watches the man fiddle with the lapel of his jacket, still dolled-up like they were needed on set despite most of the staff having left hours ago. He wasn’t sure what time it was, but he honestly had no desire to check, to disturb the air of comfortability that had settled over them.
