It was no secret that Lucifer and Alastor’s dynamic could be a bit… explosive at the best of times. To Lucifer, it was obvious that the two chemicals should never mix—however, a fateful chat with a certain employee of the Hazbin Hotel plus an expected appearance from Charlie’s bleeding heart threaten to complicate things.
Or; after the fight with Adam is over, Charlie gaslights Lucifer (in a good way) into caring about Alastor’s wellbeing. It’s surprisingly effective.

The Radio Demon managed to manipulate everyone (including his coworkers, enemies, himself and even his voice actor) into thinking he has his shit together.
Vox didn't even try. He turned off his cameras, withdrawed himself from the airwaves and finally left his long time archenemy alone, admitting defeat.
It's a good thing. Right?
Then why exactly was Alastor just now beginning to lose his mind?𓆱⌖𓄋⌖𓆱
Or: Alastor understands darkness like no one else and stops Vox's suicide attempt via channeling his truest, greatest power - ragebaiting.

“Oh, darling.” Though Alastor’s voice was all insincere condescension, the endearment still made his stomach twist. “Do you think you deserve this? No, no, not yet.”
The groan that escaped him then was desperate, pathetic, just like Alastor had said. And the worst part was that Vox had let this happen; had let himself be coaxed into this position and it was the potent mixture of bitterness and lust that meant he was allowing it to continue. But though Alastor might be able to see through him, he could hardly have forgotten that Vox knew him, too. Knew his smiles, the fake and the genuine. Knew the micro expressions in his eyes that he really couldn't hide as well as he thought. And Alastor was enjoying this.
Vox was always watching Alastor. Sometimes Alastor even let him.
