Bob’s jaw tightens. “Don’t call me that.”
John doesn’t apologize, just shrugs under him. “Hit me then.”
Bob hesitates again. Then he pulls his arm back—still straddling John—and goes for it. A clean punch, not fast, but committed.
John is lonely and somewhat depressed, but so is Bob. Somewhere along the line, they get used to each other’s silences, odd as they find it.

“Hey!” she shouted as she yanked his shirt out of the way to get to his side more easily. He opened his eyes again, but it took a moment for them to focus on her. “Don’t fall asleep now.”
It was hard to tell exactly what she was looking at. His entire stomach was covered in blood, obscuring the wound in the dim moonlight. Wasting no more time, she pressed down as hard as she could with the gauze in a desperate attempt to stop him from bleeding out.
Jaskier screamed, one hand grabbing her wrist weakly, a plea to make the pain stop. It didn’t last long as he had to gasp for breath, the noise turning to strangled whimpers that were almost worse. The gauze quickly became saturated, so she had to shift to grab more. This time he didn’t make a sound.

Summary
Without another word, he pulls them both quickly left, skidding into an alleyway between two lopsided buildings barely big enough for one person, let alone two. Geralt doesn’t let go of Jaskier’s wrist as he squeezes them both into the tiny, dead-end space, and by the time he releases him Jaskier is pressed fully against his chest, his hands resting on Geralt’s shoulders, their noses nearly brushing.
It's the alleyway fic.

It started off with curiosity.
The curiosity should have killed the cat, though in Astarion's case he was already dead. He just wish he hadn't been such an idiot and listened to the man when Gale wanted him to back off. Then he might not have gotten so attached and now he was leaving "gifts" for the man like the proverbial cat. The wizard could have returned them, but he had such a need for them that it only prompted the vampire to get even closer.
Gale is DONE with him pretty much from the start, though, so Astarion had to learn a better way to interact and help this particular mortal he was absolutely not at ALL growing slightly attached to. Not even a little. Nope.- Language:
