Whether by virtue of being in front of him or if, after the situation in that run down town where he’d been beaten and almost assaulted, Vax’ildan is the only one he can even think to name for assistance. Perhaps it is because Vax killed that man for him, only for the crime that he had touched Percy in violence, or that Percy knows Vax won’t, perhaps not judge for Vax is a man of many opinions and with little compunction about sharing them when needed, but because Vax, will hear him without question, without interruption.
