Everything he loves the most, it was all there together once. He thinks, if he wants to be somewhere for the rest of time, this is it.
And just like before, they’re the ones being left behind. Broken record, on repeat, same old tunes even as time went on, scratched and scuffed until they were beyond repair.
It really was just like it.

Vox entered the room with a violent swing of the door. Based on the little whimper he heard, Vox had hurt his hand when opening it. “Fuck! Ow, shit!” The television demon managed to squeak out, cradling his wrist in his other hand.
Val’s antenna twitched, Vox didn’t usually get this mad unless his day had been really bad. He sat up from his spot on the couch with a soft groan, pausing the movie he was watching. Damn, he was at a really good part too. The cross-dressing had just started!
“Hey, Tino.” He could tell Vox was trying to sound warm, but it came out strained and aggressive. He couldn’t help but let his antenna fall back in hurt, even though it wasn’t really on purpose. Vox draped his jacket onto the coat hanger, and, still cradling his wrist, he paced into another room.

Summary
The silence in V Tower has become unbearable two weeks after the failed attack on Heaven. Vox knows his obsession with Alastor almost cost them everything, including his empire and his relationship with Valentino.
Swallowing his pride and shutting down his logic, Vox decides to go to Val's room to offer the only thing he has left: a sincere apology. He expects screaming, hitting, or indifference, but he isn't prepared for the confession Valentino has kept hidden amidst the smoke and rage.
(Or Vox and Val finally have the conversation they should have had a long time ago.)
