A month later, Stanley's coworker Mariella assumes that the older man who lives with him—and calls him at work with extremely particular grocery lists—is his boyfriend. Stanley is alarmed when he realizes that she's right.

Summary
He’d been gifted a vial of ichor, of concentrated power. If he drank it, he'd become something new, something inhuman. Whether or not he did was his decision to make, but Stanley already knew what he wanted, it was obvious to him. The vial was a way to extend his connection to The Narrator well beyond the bounds of human mortality, so that not even death could get in the way of a good story.
It came with other benefits, too.

Or, The Narrator is an omnipresent eldritch entity, and Stanley is also that. Sort of. The Narrator is eager to teach him how to use his newfound power.

Everyone knew that you shouldn't leave Mia alone for more than 5 minutes, this was common knowledge that was learnt quite easily, as the first time Deimos and 1x spawned, by 5 minutes of meeting her she had rolled down a fucking cliff.
So no wonder everyone didn't move a muscle when they heard the familiar scream of: "FFFUUUUUCKKKK!!!!!!"
