The story follows our hero, Mark Lee, philosophy major by day and sword-wielding superhero by night. He would be nothing without his trusty guy-in-the-chair Jaemin Na, expert hacker by night, Mark's ex-boyfriend by day (but he doesn't like to talk about it).
As for Jeno? He's our villain.

Summary
The worst things about reliving June 1st, 2030, over and over again are:
- Renjun has no idea why this is happening. He graduated as valedictorian from Seoul National University and was the youngest researcher to be invited to work at South Korea’s first underwater research facility— but he can’t figure this strange new situation out. No matter what Renjun does throughout the day, he always goes to bed and wakes up again on the exact same morning.
- Renjun loves his job, but there are only so many times you can study the same specimens and write up the same reports. After a while, there isn’t anything new to discover or look forward to. Donghyuck’s jokes aren’t half as funny after hearing them so many times. Nothing Renjun does is meaningful when everything resets at the end of the day.
- Na Jaemin transfers to the facility on June 1st, 2030. He’s unreasonably good-looking, instantly wins over the other researchers with his extensive knowledge of sea turtle habitats, and is totally Renjun’s type. He’s also Renjun’s ex.

Renjun chuckled while reading the messages from his friend. He met Donghyuck a few months ago. The university offered him a place in their buddy program when he confirmed his stay in Korea. Initially, he didn’t want to join the program. The idea of having a random student assigned to him felt weird to him. He was not good with new people and just the thought that he would have to communicate with and then meet this specific person made him anxious, resulting in him postponing his application for the program.
It was his older brother who made him change his mind. He, just like Renjun, was also hesitant to join the program but eventually, he changed his mind and applied at the last minute, and at the end, even getting a boyfriend out of it.
So Renjun also gave the program a try. He was not expecting to get a boyfriend out of it but maybe a good friend was more realistic.
