Summary
Jinx lifts her face up, water dripping down her face, droplets falling from her chin, pooling around her feet on the bathroom floor. She opens her eyes and meets a pair of familiar ones in the mirror. Or, at least they used to be familiar. Nowadays she cannot exactly recognize herself. The person she used to be is long gone. Even her eyes can tell that.
She studies her face in the bathroom mirror. The greenish light makes everything seem even more wrong and uglier. Her hair is the wrong color - and now she notices how her braids have come a little undone - and the dark circles underneath her eyes have never looked worse. She looks like she’s dead. Maybe she is.

When the night ends in tears in the club's bathroom, Jinx decides it's time for her to hit the road. As she leaves the club she bumps into Caitlyn, who spills her drink all over Jinx.

Kuvira chuckles and buries her face in Ranya’s neck. She enjoys having Ranya’s arms around her body. She isn’t sure when was the last time she felt so safe in someone’s arms. She isn’t sure if Baatar ever made her feel that way.
When the rain starts getting rougher, they decide to head back to their cabin that they had rented out for the week. Before they get to the porch, Kuvira grabs Ranya’s arm and pulls her back to the rain.
“Kuvira, what are you doing?” Ranya laughs.
Kuvira holds onto Ranya’s hands as they stand in the pouring rain. A moment ago Kuvira was crying and now she has the brightest of smiles lighting up her face. “Let’s just stand like this for a moment. Let’s enjoy the rain.”

Vi ignored him as movement outside the window caught her eye and she leaned over to see what it was. Her neighbor looked up, their eyes meeting for a brief second. A scowl appeared on the young woman’s face and Vi quickly moved away from the window and took her seat again at the drumset.
“Fuck me,” she mumbled.
Ever since her neighbor had moved in a couple of months ago, it had been nothing but complaint, complaint, complaint. She hated Vi’s music, she hated her friends. She hated the way Vi’s cooking smelled (when she had the misfortune of burning it once or twice).
