Summary
Eddie and Steve were practically polar opposites in high school, so when the party finally had a few moments to breathe after escaping Vecna and the Upside Down, Steve didn't exactly expect them to gravitate towards each other.
Despite this, somehow, they end up leaning on each other; Eddie, as he doubted himself in the face of interdimensional monsters, and Steve, as his injuries started to catch up to him. And- it was nice. Unexpected, but nice.
What wasn't nice was the way his heart raced when Eddie got close, the way his eyes lingered and his thoughts fizzled out around him for some reason he just couldn't figure out. Maybe he'll just blame the blood loss.

Summary
Something about how Wayne just called Steve by his name feels extremely weird to Dustin. It’s too intimate in a way. Wayne never calls any of them by their names, it’s always kid or boy or sometimes son if he feels overly affectionate, but Dustin actually kind of thought that Wayne doesn’t even remember all of their names.
And maybe he doesn’t. But he obviously remembers Steve’s. And that’s just…that doesn’t really sit right with Dustin. It’s somehow implying that Steve is over at the trailer more than Dustin thought. But well, the fact that he’s sitting here having lunch with Wayne is kind of indicating that too, isn’t it?
Or: 5 times Dustin overhears Steve talking to people about Eddie and one time he overhears him talking to Eddie.

Summary
Sinking back against his pillow, Eddie kisses back with fervour, fisting his hands in Steve’s hair and tugging until he draws an intoxicating whine out of Steve, swallowing the sound eagerly.
They’re so lost in one another that they don’t hear the door to Eddie’s bedroom opening, don’t realise that they’re no longer alone until there’s a very much disgusted groan from the other side of the room.
“My eyes!” Max squeals, throwing her hands over her face. But not before launching a random shirt their way. It lands on Steve’s bare back. “Gross! Guys, it’s seven-thirty!”
“Exactly!” Steve cries back, dropping his head onto Eddie’s chest with a frustrated groan. “It’s seven-thirty, what the hell are you doing here?”

Summary
Steve makes his first mix tape after Nancy calls him bullshit. He's sick of always being kicked around or tossed aside, and he's especially sick of the way it makes him feel. So, he turns on the radio and starts recording any song that makes him feel good. He grabs a marker, some tape, and names it his Rainy Day Mix.
After that, he can't seem to stop making mix tapes; it becomes a form of therapy for him, and, in the end, it's the best thing he ever did.

He doesn’t manage to finish his sentence, because all of a sudden he’s crouching over in another one of his coughing fits. Eddie’s at his side in an instant, steadying him with hands holding either side of Steve’s shoulders, too close and too warm and Steve fists a hand in Eddie’s shirt, turning so he can’t see the petals Steve hastily shoves into his pocket.
Steve Harrington just wants to live his life peacefully. The universe and one damn metalhead have other plans for him.

Summary
Steve sidles up to the bench. Munson stands at the other end of it, arms crossed tightly over his chest, glaring out at the street as if that will make the bus show up any quicker. His bangs are flat against his forehead, the rest of his long hair lank and wet over his shoulders.
He looks like a drowned cat.
So Steve holds out his umbrella. Tilts his chin and raises his eyebrows at Munson as an invitation to step under and get out of the rain.
Munson looks at the umbrella for less than a second before he turns back towards the street with a scoff. “No thanks,” he says. “I’m good.”
“Dude,” Steve says, dumbfounded.
“Dude,” Munson parrots mockingly.
“You’re really going to turn down my umbrella?” Steve asks, still holding it out.
“I really am,” Munson replies, showing all of his teeth in a rancorous smile. “Now if you don’t mind,” he adds, taking a large step forward, closer to the curb and further from Steve.
Steve lets out an indignant huff and pulls his umbrella back to himself. Only just refrains from muttering an unsavory name under his breath because he’s a good person now.
Whatever. Let Munson get soaked. Let him freeze.
