Lex Luthor does an interview at the Daily Planet as a PR stunt, and before the elevator could take him up to meet with Perry White, the elevator gets stopped by a handsome reporter.
Lex originally just wanted to grimace and push through this publicity stunt, but before he could, the elevator suddenly lurched to a stop, trapping him in the rusted old elevator with his guide and the mild-mannered Clark Kent, who was too shy to show his face.
