“Cute?” Chairemi squeaks, her fingers still in Volt’s tender grasp.
“Oh very,” Volt interjects. His eyes trace up and down Chairemi’s figure. Eddie’s do the same. “If we had known how delightful your little outfits were, and how sweet and powerful your voice was, we might have come to show our support a lot sooner. Of course, we already knew the beauties of your voice from hearing you call orders at the club.”
“Ignore him. Your skill was the star. And showing up was the least Volt and I could do after all the help you’ve given us at the Breaker Box. In fact, we were talking, and we were wondering if you wanted to join us back there for drinks? To celebrate a good performance?” Eddie scratches awkwardly at the back of his neck. “Only if you want to though.”
Chairemi’s head is spinning. So much just happened in this tiny interaction. This is all so far removed from the professional personas she’s come to know Volt and Eddie for. They’re both looking at her expectantly. Volt still hasn’t dropped her hand, and he rubs his thumb over her knuckles.
It’s just an invitation for drinks. What could go wrong?

Volt smiles down at you from where he’s standing over your head at the foot of the bed—fully clothed—and pets a hand through your hair. “Come now, live wire. It’s just a bit of fun. Isn’t it one of your amusing human sayings? ‘All good things come to those who wait’? A little delayed gratification never hurts.”
“Volt is right. Plus the trip to the hotel where we’re staying for the conference is only an hour away,” Eddie speaks up from between your legs where he is also, much to your dismay, fully clothed.
His fingers continue to slowly pump in and out of you and you feel delirious. You want his mouth, his cock, even for him to just press his thumb against your clit—something other than this mind-numbingly slow fingering that they’ve made perfectly clear is just for preparation. “I was just thinking recently that I still haven’t partaken of my favorite meal in this kitchen.” Volt runs his tongue over the shell of Eddie’s ear. “On this counter.”
Eddie swallows loudly, his throat clicking and jaw working firmly under Volt’s grip. “And uh…” He averts his eyes. “How do you plan to… partake of this meal?”
“With gusto. I intend to savor it, and to leave satisfied.” Volt’s voice lowers to a whisper, but his eyes shine. “I may even lick the plate clean, if the meal is good enough.”
Eddie is practically trembling against Volt. He can see the imagery—the pleasure—washing over him and flickering behind his steel eyes. Eddie rolls his ass down against Volt—intentionally this time. “Well don’t let me stop you from having your… your favorite meal.”
But Volt does pause because that stutter was specific. Eddie was doubting himself. He was doubting that he is Volt’s favorite. That he is worth being called Volt’s favorite. And that won’t do at all.

“I didn’t want to wake you up. You looked like you needed the rest.”
“Nonsense.” Volt tilts his head and grins. “I can think of no less than a dozen ways that I would have loved for you to have woken me up this morning.”
Eddie’s brows raise high on his forehead. “I’ll… keep that in mind.” His fingers fidget where he still has them wrapped in Volt’s clothes. After thinking it over for a minute, he pulls his hands back to his own chest. “I was also keeping in mind… the bet.”
“The bet? …You were serious?”
“Weren’t you?” Eddie asks.
A nervous look passes over Volt’s face. He takes another step back and pushes both of his hands up and through his electric hair. He sighs. “Why don’t we fix the power and then talk about it?”

Or, the morning after the events of Shocking Garters, Eddie brings up how Volt said he didn't think Eddie could keep his hands off of Volt for a week. Only time will tell if they can make it through, or if they deeply regret their decision.
