Summary
Inspired by Jane Austen's Mansfield Park.
Patrick and David have been friends for years, their bond deep and undeniable, and there's no one whose opinion David values more. So when a new family moves into the neighbourhood, it's only natural that David should turn to his oldest friend for his advice and support as he tries to work out what this could mean for him and his future.
Patrick, on the other hand, isn't as instantly taken with Sebastien and Klair Raine but David's sure when they all get to know each other things will be different. But there's no way he could forsee the impact the Raine siblings will have on the residents of Rosewood.

Summary
David isn't all that thrilled with Patrick's idea that they attend Twyla's 'Winter Wonderland' event but he agrees, even if there is no way he is ever going to subject himself to wearing anything remotely resembling the holiday sweater that Patrick has chosen for the evening (supporting a local business is one thing but he has sartorial standards to uphold.) But despite his initial reluctance, as the night goes on, David finds there's more and more to enjoy about the event and he has much more fun than he originally thought...

Summary
The last thing David expected, or wanted, was for a phone call from his sister to interrupt his viewing of 'The Holiday' and drag him out into the Canadian mountains after her car breaks down. Add to that the worsening snowstorm as he travels further north and Alexis accepting a complete stranger's invitation to wait in his cabin until David can get to her and the day has taken a very different and highly unwelcome turn than the one he was anticipating.
But then he meets the stranger, and perhaps he can forgive Alexis this one. After all, he's seen the film before but Patrick is new.

Summary
A year into their relationship, David and Patrick take a road trip to Schitt's Creek (personally, David can't see the appeal but hey, Patrick seems set on the plan so David supposes he can cope for a few days.) On first impressions, the town is... unusual, but as the two of them explore and meet some of the townsfolk, it dawns on David - this place might not be so bad.
Sequel to 'To soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak' although it is not necessary to read that first.

Summary
When David spots several people acting strangely in front of the store, his curiosity - and suspicions - are raised. Patrick goes to investigate and in the process discovers a new hobby. David doesn't fully understand it but hey, his husband is cute when he's excited.
--
"They’re everywhere. In the countryside, in small towns…” Patrick turns the phone around, pinches the map and then shows it to David. This time it’s a city on the screen, littered with many more green dots. “They’re in the cities too. Apparently there’s one nearby our store, recently set up. Which would explain the groups of people you’ve noticed. They were all looking for it.”“Lots of people go looking for Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster as well. That doesn’t mean it’s not a huge waste of time.”

Summary
When David stumbles across Marcy and Clint at the market in Elmdale, he instantly knows their cider would be a huge hit at the store. Wanting him to get a better sense of their business, they invite him along to an evening event at the cidery where he spots the man playing live music on the stage. Cute, good voice, but not what David's here for...
--
The musician’s voice is rich and strong but not intrusive, adding to the atmosphere rather than distracting from it. His fingers move deftly over the strings, his sleeves rolled up to mid-forearm, his muscles bunching as he strums and shifts his grip on neck of the guitar.
The man leans into the microphone as he sings, and light brown eyes gaze out from a face slightly flushed from the heat in the room. He’s cute, his face shining with good-humour and playfulness and if David had come across him in a bar somewhere on the hunt for a random, he'd definitely be sliding into the seat beside him and trying his luck.

Summary
“Good afternoon,” Patrick says when the next door opens, fumbling in his coat for his lanyard. “I’m with the local council, canvassing the area to find out public opinion on the new housing...”
He’s halfway through his opening spiel when he finds his ID badge, looking up as he presents it. The familiar, scripted words falter on his tongue at the sight of the gorgeous man in the doorway.
--
Having left his hometown in search of something more, Patrick takes a job canvassing the neighbourhood, conducting surveys for the local council. It's not something he particularly enjoys... until David Rose answers the door.
