Summary
Central Buvi of Portdom, the largest of civilisations, is built under an explicit hierarchy: within the walls of impenetrable Aegis lies The Magical Citadel, and on the outside lie the Outer Villages.
Fifteen-year-old Nakahara Chuuya is one such unlucky, magic-less villager, overworked and underpaid customarily. So when a mysterious Citadel boy with no memories washes up to his village, covered in bandages and carrying a suicide handbook, he doesn’t know how to deal with the situation.
Will he regret saving a Citadel boy’s life?
As of now, that remains to be seen.
OR: Dazai is an amnesic prince, Chuuya is a lowly villager, and together (or not always so), they go through a series of unfortunate events surrounding magic, beasts and duplicity for seven long years.

Why does he hear a stranger's voice when he sleeps? Why can't he remember the first seven years of his life? Why is Dazai Osamu hellbent on being the shittiest shithead to ever shit on this earth?
On his 18th birthday, however, things change.
Despite no answers, he no longer has so many questions.

Where the fuck did these undead creatures come from?
OR: Dazai and Chuuya are high-school enemies that have to work together to make it out of a zombie outbreak in their school — insert unwavering trust, mutual pining and a shitload of angst.

“You didn’t answer my question,” Dazai adds. “Why save me?”
Chuuya exhales sharply through his nose. “Because letting someone die when you can stop it is bullshit.”
Dazai glances at him, genuinely this time. “Is that so?”
“Yes.”
“And if they want to die?”
Chuuya doesn’t answer immediately. The road ahead wavers slightly in the heat, cicadas buzzing loud enough to drown out his thoughts. He thinks of faces he hasn’t let himself think about in months. Voices. Laughter that had cut through noise just like this. He pushes it down.
“People want a lot of stupid things when they’re cornered,” he says finally. “Doesn’t mean they’re right.”

Summary
Chuuya walks into the interaction with no hope of escaping unscathed. Surely he’ll exit a hollow shell of a man, his ego torn to shreds by the silver tongue of the idiot who forced his way into his life like an asteroid. His sister is a cruel woman, worrying for his well-being in the worst of ways. Chuuya is not a lonely man, so if Kouyou would stop suggesting that his lack of a partner makes him as much, it’d be well appreciated.
He has friends, a lot of them at that. He has Kouyou, and Yosano—who is somewhere between friend and family, taking into consideration her long-term relationship with his sister. And then there’s Dazai, who seems to fit in neither category. It’s a gray area, making him the perfect candidate.
Kouyou insists that she and Yosano go on a double date with Chuuya and his date. Who as of now is yet to be determined.
Who as of now, Dazai will either helpfully agree to take upon the role of, or Chuuya will have no choice but to sink into the floor.
(Or: Chuuya asks Dazai to be his fake date to ease his sister’s worries. Inexplicably, things quickly elevate as all things involving Dazai and Chuuya tend to do.)

In pursuit of some money, Dazai finds a job as a part-time butler for the Nakahara family, one of the richest and most influential in Yokohama. No one has ever met their only son, Chuuya, in person. Legend has it, he’s spent most of his high-school life locked inside, studying day and night to become a deserving heir to his generational wealth. Something about it doesn’t sit right with Dazai.

Summary
Dazai left Yokohama just after breaking up with Chuuya, leaving behind an unread poem written to him by the same person whom he thought he would never see again. Four years later, during his third year at Kyoto University, the poems became songs and his ex-boyfriend is the lead singer in a band that’s slowly beginning to get recognized.
Now here they stand, in the same city and under the same sky. The painful memory of unanswered questions, missed calls and unread poems will haunt them against their will, but perhaps, that’s exactly what they needed.

Summary
“For someone special?” Hearing his voice again is a goddamn slap to the face. Something is telling Chuuya it isn't worth it to start drama here of all places.
But his stupidly sweet ass tone has broken his wits, his presence alone has left him so unsettled he can’t even remember what he was doing there. He has to cross his arms over his chest to stop himself from punching him to death. The screams in his mind are like the rage overflowing in every drop of his blood. So he returns to be his stupid twenty-four-year-old self when he opens his mouth.
“Your ex-boyfriend.”
He hadn’t expected such a quick understanding on his part, much less the surprise expressed in the writer's eyes. When he looks up with the book in his hands, Chuuya stands still, watching him and feeling like his heart will burst out of his chest at any minute.
Fuck.
After all these years, does Dazai still have to look so criminally gorgeous?
Or: Dazai and Chuuya must get over their past relationship if they don’t want a literary project to end up in ruins.

“I don’t think it’d be appropriate to call them just friends,” Oda suddenly muses from behind them. He has that all-knowing grin plastered on his face, one Atsushi has come to dub as the I-Know-Something-Dazai-Doesn’t Look, and it makes Atsushi's curiosity double in magnitude.
Atsushi breaks a few school rules, gets sent to the principal’s office, and accidentally reunites his uncle with his estranged friend. Yes, in that particular order.
Or: Atsushi, Ryuunosuke, and Kyouka's attempt at matchmaking. With the help of other adults, of course.

Chuuya just stares at him, digesting it in silence as he slowly blinks at Dazai across from him and hopes some of his discomfort can pass for confusion. He wonders why Dazai sounds so desperate to convey this to him when this shouldn’t be any of Chuuya’s business.
But Dazai huffs an annoyed breath at his lack of answer, wrinkling his nose in impatience and the soft sunlight catches in his face just right and he is so beautiful, with his stupid silly pout and Chuuya can’t even hold the denial in place for half a second apparently.
So alright, Dazai is in a fake relationship and maybe Chuuya does care.Or, that one College AU where all the tropes apply, featuring Dazai’s attempts at communicating that only make things worse and the ensuing chaos

If there’s anyone who could hide something from Dazai, it would be Chuuya, but coughing up bloody flower petals isn’t exactly subtle. Dazai is very aware that Chuuya is so in love with him that he’s developed a mythical illness that doctors can't even agree if exists or not in reaction. Love was never an option for them, however. Dazai knows there are only two paths from here: either Chuuya dies, or Dazai kills himself to end the disease's hold on him before that can happen.
According to Mori, Chuuya has until just shy of his nineteenth birthday to live. Plenty of time for Dazai to commit toaster bath before he can kick the bucket, right? There’s only one problem with that. Chuuya, determined, stubborn, incorrigible Chuuya, keeps saving him.
