The bed is a twin, so naturally there’s room issues when nighttime rolls around. It has been Edward’s since the age of nine and there is really no reason to replace it. It's been easier with Oswald no longer needing an IV, though; less cold sweat and tangled limbs in cords and neck pain upon waking up. Edward might hesitate to say he does not miss it.
“Do you want me to brush your teeth?” Edward asks, sitting upright on the white sheets with a chipper disposition. Let me scrub out every bit of ugliness within you in reverence. Make you atone and dirty you up after.

An AU in which Isabella basically never shows up, Oswald tells Ed he loves him, but Ed cannot return his feelings. Still, they decide to continue as if nothing happened for the sake of their friendship, their successful working relationship and for Gotham. But Oswald’s obvious pining is getting in the way, making Ed feel awkward and uncomfortable, so the brilliant Chief of Staff comes up with an unorthodox solution for Oswald to get over his feelings. Ed suggests they start sharing certain intimacies, kisses and touches, hoping that once Oswald gets some level of physical warmth from Ed he’d be able to move on and not want Ed anymore.
However, the cure has an unexpected outcome. -
