**Avatar Aang movie spoilers**
The spirit world sends a warning to Avatar Aang, but he is far too distracted to notice it. Kazumi, his Spiritbending teacher, receives the incessant message loud and clear, or at least she hears the remnants of it. There is a future spelled with death, destruction, and a demon spawning from the spirit world to destroy the city Aang has worked hard to build. Could it be related to Aang's sudden journey? Either way, Kazumi is going to whip her careless student into shape one way or another. And maybe the Fire Lord will finally gain enough courage to ask her the question they've been dancing around for some time now.
Aang had four masters, one for each element. But what if there was more for the Avatar to learn? Having met a Spiritbending master, a new member of the Gaang joined their family. Will this change fate for the better or for worse?
Also...Firebender romance because I loved Zuko in the movie.

When your life comes crashing down at a young age, some screws and more are definitely going to come loose and jumbled up. You can't remember what happened. Or, rather; you don't want to.
You couldn't do anything about it, couldn't control it.
And yet, you're burdened nightly. Burdened in your moments most isolated, by a voice that insists upon the notion that you could have done more. That you could have prevented something from happening. That pushing forward is for naught.
No matter how far you go in life, it will burden you unto eternity. That, is what you tell yourself anyways. However, perhaps...
Perhaps that will change. You've opened up a little more, shied away less from visages unfamiliar to you. And now? Maybe now, you can find something that'll pull you out from this dark haze.
Maybe even someone.
...You hope someone will.

Summary
This will be a series of Kris x Reader oneshots! In each chapter, reader will be conveyed as some sort of dog or wolf or fox (ik that they got their differences, but I'm clumping them together this one time) monster. The reader is also AFAB and has they/them pronouns. I miiiigghtt open requests for oneshots eventually, but not at the moment.
