Your life couldn't have gone so...Off the deep end...
Despite years of experience and a degree in Marine Biology, you ended up doing janitorial work for one of the biggest, most impressive aquariums in the country. You didn't consider it too unlucky, but boy was it awful. You had hoped to maybe achieve your dream as one of the marine trainers for the animals, but you assumed your resume was...overlooked. Now it's just you and the mop. Well, was you and the mop, 'till you came face to face with one of their notorious new additions to their Siren exhibits.
You knew the dangers; you studied them in college. Yet, your little dream of really being close to a Siren, a skeletal Siren even, was enough to let you look over their murderous track record at New Ebott Aquarium.
You weren't expecting them to like you just as much.
Now it was sink or swim! You were promoted in practically a night to a Siren caretaker and learning how to care of these magical beasts. You had expectations to meet; everyone believed you had some special way with the Sirens. Maybe you did? You could only find out further by getting your feet wet!

Summary
After an incident at the world-famous Ebott Aquarium, you find yourself placed on a team of staff dedicated to the care of the prize exhibits at the facility; three notoriously aggressive skeleton siren monsters captured in the name of 'research'. An orca with a disturbing record of finding new ways to attempt to drown his keepers, a shark who's excellent at removing whatever stray hands come his way, and a deep-sea octopus whose past (and body count) are hidden behind endless stacks of legal papers. Despite their pattern of brutally murdering their ever-changing team of keepers, they all seem to immediately take a shine to you- a worryingly bright shine. A shine that won't go away, a shine that starts to unnerve you.
However, the longer you work there, the more you see the inner workings of Ebott Aquarium. The more you realise the sirens you're 'caring for' aren't dumb beasts, they're deeply intelligent... they aren't mindlessly aggressive, they've gone insane, locked in those tiny glass cages.
... The more you interact with the sirens... the more you realise their murderous aggression might not be all that misplaced.

He motioned forward and twelve palace guards entered, dragging in twelve polished axes, heavy and sharp. They set them down, heads aligned on the marble floor in a long, gleaming line.
Tommy stepped in front of them and held up the bow.
“My brother’s weapon,” he said. “The bow that has broken armies. The hand that held it ruled without question. So, here’s my challenge; my gift to all of you who’ve played games and bared teeth behind closed doors.”
He scanned the room. Many looked away. One did not.
Dream .The King of Essempi. Cloaked in green and crowned in ambition. He stood tall and still, lips curled in his usual sneer.
Tommy met his gaze, stepped forward, and threw the bow at their feet.
It hit the marble with a heavy crack and spun to a stop.
“String it,” Tommy demands. “That’s the test. That’s the crown. You want it? Prove you are worthy.”
Whispers echoed around the room, some confused, most angry.
Dream tilted his head, smiling just enough to show the sharp edge beneath.
Tommy looked at him and thought, 'Fetch. Like the dog you are.'

Inspired by "Sooner or Later You're Gonna Be Mine" by Staringback. Pretty much have the same characters, at some point a similar plot but with my own twist.
You are just a girl living in a corrupt city. You had dreamed of getting out, but you had no family, and no one to trust, so you built yourself up to the top. You go from nothing to being one of the most well-known assassins in the city. Leaving? It's more fun just living a life of adventure. You own a bar, and for the right price, will work for whatever mobster there is.

Summary

They’re charming, witty and punny all around, but for reasons only known to you - you escape their friendliness intending to never step foot near the woods, or the skeletons, again… or that was the plan at least. What you couldn't have expected was that they're rather stubborn, and for some reason very intent on befriending you? No matter how much you avoid them or how many excuses you provide - they just keep popping up?! Why you?! Why now? And why are there so many?!
Will you be able to ward off your new skeleton suitors and keep your age old secrets, or will you succumb to their wily charms and submit yourself to their affections despite your unnatural circumstances? Will you be able to come to terms with befriending them or will you abandon it all, leaving them and all they are in the dark…
A tale as old as time, in which the reader goes through all 5 stages of grief trying to avoid the skeletons, with very little success and a ridiculous amount of shenanigans.
