Revision to be posted with the title 'Twilight Emerald'.Izuku Midoriya's path suddenly changes when he is kidnapped before All Might could speak with him after the Slime Villain Incident. He strays into a path not befitting a conventional hero in hopes of uncovering a dastardly group of villains, only to become fast friends with the people he swore to stop.
They offer him what no one else ever had; friendship, a place to belong, and people who took his dream of Heroism seriously. They see him as a bright and intelligent young worthy of attention, instead of a stupid and foolhardy quirkless child.
In return for his 'cooperation', the nameless group of villains (headed by All for One) offer him something he can't refuse. Accepting this unimaginably powerful gift comes with baggage he never was aware of, and suspicion from people who would have trusted him has his fate not been tilted.
