He stops, then. A veil of fog sits in the crevice between the dip of two hills. Dew sparkles on the stalks of yellow grass and the spiderwebs that hang between the naked branches of bushes curling over the silvery ribbon of a stream.
It’s pretty here. Seonghwa’s shoes are soaking through and his feet are cold and he feels… it is something, something spiralling like apple peel off a sharp knife, something small under the open sky.
“Get your shit together, Park Seonghwa” Seonghwa says to himself.

Wooyoung lets out a dry laugh. His fingers are tracing nonsense patterns into San’s back. “Was that not morose enough for you?”
San shakes his head stubbornly.
“After that… it turns out that the longer you live, the easier it is to make a story out of anything. To mythologize, to play with the truth; this is how I remember it, you can say, and elide all guilt. Only someone who loves you very much would be able to argue with you about it.”

'Minho has got this roommate who Hyunjin isn’t sure about.
“Chan-hyung makes most of the tracks I use for showcases,” Minho tells him when they’re introduced for the first time.
“Oh, god, don’t even mention it, please,” Chan says. He meets Hyunjin’s eyes and half-smiles modestly down at the floor, cheeks pinking. Hyunjin’s hackles are up immediately. Hyunjin hates false modesty and Chan doesn’t have anything to be modest about. He’s got a muscle tee showing off his arms, the deep cuts in the side of his shirt to hint at his ribs. And his tracks are good. If Hyunjin made music that good, everyone would know about it. He doesn’t like the way Chan steals glances at him, either.
He’d better not try flirting. Not that the guy is bad to look at, but here? This place is supposed to be Hyunjin's escape from campus and all its eyes.'

Summary
When they’d been filming the Helena video, the lacy black gown the stylists put Joan Gerard in had had a long train that had spread dramatically down the church steps as she’d preceded the pallbearers in the rain. The train had lasted about two shows and a Frank-precipitated pile-up, the hem tearing raggedly up to her knees on the last chord of Not That Kind of Girl. Frank had spent twenty minutes after the show trying to sew it back on. Joan Gerard had given it five minutes of accidentally sticking herself with the needle and going “Ow, fuck” and “Frankie, I think the thread fell out of the needle again” before giving up. Ray had just kind of hovered the whole time.
Slice of life banter from an AU in which Gerard is transfem and transitioned during Revenge Era.

He thinks that the way he gets about songwriting sometimes, where he needs to knock loose the perfect line burning just under the roof of his skull, is how she feels all the time, about everything.

They discuss the bond in interviews sometimes, but it’s generally played for a laugh.
Minho tends to get a lot of screen time during those segments, talking about what it’s like to carry a burden for their leader, how Chan overworks himself sometimes and Minho has to bust into his studio with food and water to ease the low pulse of a tension headache that tends to gather around his own temples. He points out the area when he’s asked. He laughs and smacks Chan on the ass without flinching, and the hosts ooh and aah appropriately at Minho’s manly pain tolerance. The bits happen less often now than they did around debut and the associated installation of the bond, but they’re still not uncommon, and each time it comes up the hosts or interviewers make sure to mention how lucky Chan is to have a member a link below him who is capable of taking on so much.
The thing they don’t talk about is that Minho volunteered.

Changmin’s face goes red because based on the ease with which Hyunjae is moving right now, Changmin suspects he’s probably right. He probably could dance through the entirety of their choreography like this, floorwork aside. The thought sets off something strange and fluttering inside of Changmin’s belly.
Rage, Changmin decides. The feeling must be rage.
