Summary
“I’m fucking hungry, man.” Ian said.
“Yeah, me too, but we kinda got a bigger problem to deal with first.” Mickey told him, gesturing to the bodies on their floor.
Ian looked sad for a minute, before perking up. “I just had the best idea. It solves all our problems!” Ian exclaimed with great excitement.
“Do tell.”
“We can make a stew.” Ian said with the most serious look Mickey had ever seen.

Summary
After a few minutes of lying on the sandy diamond, staring up at the starless Chicago sky, Mickey heard the fence rattle. He turned his head slightly to see who it was, assuming it was some junkie kid who wanted a smoke. Instead, he saw a familiar ginger head climbing over the fence and walking over to him.
Ian lay beside him, so they were both on their backs, arms touching slightly. They sat in silence for a bit before Ian eventually broke the silence. The guy couldn’t go ten whole minutes without talking- it used to piss Mickey off, but he’s grown to love it over time

Summary
And finally, Dean thought about Cas.
What it would all mean to have Cas in his entirety, in every way imaginable. To have him sleep caressed and sun-kissed beneath early morning sheets, the weight of his fingers tracing Dean’s palm down peaceful corridors, his scent cloaked in Dean’s very bones. To have his warmth as comfort and his hands as a guide that slid over Dean’s skin with familiarity. No more tentativeness, no more skimming the edges and tracing the seams of their story.
Peace. He wanted peace. But with Cas back from the Empty with his memories shredded, and Jack nowhere to be seen, what would peace even look like? And, after everything, was it something Dean deserved?

Summary
What begins as a transforming love between Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak in the summer of 1965 quickly derails into something far more tumultuous when Dean is drafted in the Vietnam War. Though the two both voice their relationship is one where saying goodbye is never a real truth, their story becomes fraught with the tragedy of circumstance. In an era where homosexuality was especially vulnerable, Twist and Shout is the story of the love transcending time, returning over and over in its many forms, as faithful as the sea.

Summary
In the spring of 1944, the 104th Medical Battalion of the United States Army is disbanded, and its men reassigned to various infantry companies in preparation for their invasion of occupied France. For First Lieutenant Novak, this is less than helpful, as he has so far met his platoon’s designated medic a grand total of twice, and has both times found Sergeant Winchester to be the optimum combination of reckless, arrogant, and downright insufferable so as to make cohesive platoon function near impossible. When the time comes to move out, however, Castiel has to reconcile himself to the fact that men are going to go down and trust that Dean Winchester may well be the only person who can put them back together again.
