Even through his ever-present alcohol haze, Abbacchio recognized the young gangster he arrested at that time. “Bruno Buccellati.”
“I heard about what happened to Alfredo Oliviero.” Buccellati said quietly. “I’m sorry for your loss.”
“He was a real police officer. Unlike me, who is corrupt to the marrow. And so it was my downfall,” Abbacchio muttered. “No wonder I’m haunted by him,” he said, glancing over his shoulder. “It’s what I deserve.”

Summary
“Do you remember your first kill?” Giorno asked quietly.
Fugo froze up for a moment. The question had felt like a knock on a secret door, leading somewhere that was forgotten on purpose. They had both taken lives, and sometimes Fugo’s hands would go raw from scrubbing it over and over again, failing to get rid of the blood under his nails. Even then, it was a part of their lives, and sometimes they would talk about it - in a quiet, tired voice, but a tone that was dreadfully matter-of-fact.
Their first kill though—that’s something they both instinctively avoided bringing up. But Fugo trusted Giorno.
“I do”, he answered.
Giorno has a recurring nightmare.

Summary
In retrospect, Abbacchio couldn’t remember who confessed first, or if there even was one. There probably wasn’t, he decided. A confession of love was something they couldn’t’ve afforded. That would’ve required a different kind of life, one where they met in softer circumstances, slowly got to know each other, gently feeling out the shape of the other’s soul with their fingertips…
No, such luxury was not given to them. Still, they were all too keenly aware of each other’s feelings. It was something that was never said out loud, but they both knew it was there. However, there was also the silent agreement that pursuing the other was out of the question.
In the moments of his death, Abbacchio recounts his memories with Buccellati, and all of the things left unsaid.

Fugo sighed. “Where are you going with this?”
“Have I ever told you I also didn’t have the best… connection to Moody Blues at the very beginning?”
For the first time since he stepped out on the balcony, Fugo looked at Abbacchio. “No. You didn’t. How come?”

He needs to return to his apartment, and his job, and his life, but the prospect is terrifying; everything that was once him is everything he can't allow himself to be ever again. Kim helps him make the transition, and Harry pines wildly over him. They eat food and talk about the homo-sexual underground. Harry tries not to cry a lot.
