“Well, I had to try, I’ll die at the hands of the Wasteland then whatever fucker Nero is doing deals with now. It’s not like I have much of a future.” You spat. Your tone was venomous and thick with the emotions you were trying to hide. He shrugged, binding your hands with the rope instead of your throat. You couldn’t help but notice how swiftly his hands worked, how big they were in comparison to your own. The words were tumbling out before you had the chance to stop them.
“I’d do anything to not go back.”
He just chuckled as if he didn’t take you seriously, and truthfully, he didn’t. People always said things they didn’t mean in moments of desperation. Instead of giving you any reaction you expected, he tugged your bound hands closer to him until you were face to face.
“Well, shoot, I thought you said I wasn’t your type,” his smile was mean as he made you keep eye contact with him. “Remember what I said, not until you’re begging for it.”

The words she drawled to you in that low sweet mid-west accent, and her crimson painted finger nails that curled around your t-shirt clad shoulder in a gesture of commiseration, didn’t do anything to help.
“That right there is trouble, plain as the day is long,” Jack said, following your line of sight to the immense glowering ginger currently slouching in the sticky vinyl of a dingy booth that sat a few strides from the dentine bar, “And he just sat down in your section.”

Daryl found himself slyly throwing a glance towards the man.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He mumbled, giving in to his curiosity.
"Well, usually people who don't talk too much have the most to say. It's just getting them to say it is the hard part. And, there's nothing wrong with making new friends" The man replied, giving a coy smile.
