Ah, there it is.
The blond man shakes his head in wonder, not as a no, just as a ‘wow’. The kid shifts in Bad’s arms and lets out a little mew. Phil involuntarily chirps. Everyone pauses, looking at the tiny kitten.
It’s clear he’s in need of help, but all of them have so much on their plate already, how would they ever be able to juggle villain life and raising a literal child?
Regardlessly, Phil’s birdbrain chants, 'flock, flock, flock, fledgling, baby, flock.'

Summary
Tommy’s jaw clenches uncomfortably. “Yes, sir. My deepest apologies for taking so long on the letter, it is only that the–”
To his immense surprise, Dream simply waves him off, plucking the letter from Tommy’s hand and tucking it away in one of his desk’s drawers.
“You’re forgiven,” Tommy’s shoulders deflate in relief. “I want to discuss something entirely different today.”
There is a long pause, the air hanging taut between the two, before Tommy takes the bait. “And what, sir, might that be?”

Or, Dream Wastaken, Prime Minister of Esempi, sends his only brother, Tommy, away to sea after he learns that the boy has developed Hanahaki disease. Wait a second, are those pirates-

Summary
There is a man Wilbur has never seen before, backed up against a tree. Next to him on the ground lies a smashed porcelain mask, black lines that may have once formed a comprehensible shape decorate a few of the pieces. The man looks horrified, his green eyes wide in shock.
“Tech, Tech, let me go!” he screams, groaning in frustration and glaring absolute daggers at the green eyed man, who shrinks further in on himself.
“No, Theseus, no, what has gotten into you?” Techno scolds, trying to hold the kid back as he struggles further.
Apparently his efforts aren’t working well to calm the kid because he yells, “let me at him, let me fucking at him!”

OR osmp!wilbur stumbles upon a confusing and somewhat violent scene in the forest. uh oh.

Summary
Phil squints, looking out the window and trying to see who is knocking in the dark. Finally he makes out what appears to be the silhouette of two children. His eyes adjust quickly to the dark and as he can recognize more of their features, he comes to the conclusion that they look about eleven and fifteen, both rather tall for their ages.
He rolls down the window and flips the overhead light on to get a better look at them, although there are still some shadows cast over their faces.
“Hello, mister,” the older kid says, leaning in slightly, perhaps to look Phil over.
“Hi,” Phil says, smiling kindly, despite the aching feeling of dread that has settled in his gut. He brushes it off. “Can I help you two boys with something?”
The brunette smiles, but it seems more wicked than kind, as if he’s bearing his teeth at Phil.
“Yeah, actually,” he says, almost smirking, "I think you can."

OR a paranormal sbi au in which crimebois are black eyed children and ae duo are literally just trying to live their life 👍
OR OR Phil assumed his first encounter with black-eyed children would be his only encounter, turns out the paranormal are harder to shake then that... -

Summary
“He’s sick,” Wilbur says, grinning wildly. Techno’s eyes widen and Tommy can see the exact moment his hybrid-brain kicks in.
He lets out a startled cry as the pink-haired man grabs him by the shoulders, shoves him inside, and grunts, “couch. Now.” Tommy obeys, walking over to the couch and plopping down on it, cross legged, but Techno furrows his brows and shakes his head. “No. You lay down.”
Tommy, slightly shaken, unfolds his legs and spreads them out, resting them on the far arm of the couch. He looks back to Technoblade for approval, and he nods his head curtly before going to find Phil.

Summary
Favor. Favor, favor, favor, favor, favor. The word bounces around in his mind, repeating itself in a monotone voice.
“Um,” Tommy says dumbly, taking a deep breath and wincing as his stomach clenches, “did they…use it?”
Smajor doesn’t take his eyes off of the house, setting down a few more blocks before absentmindedly replying, “what, the favor? Oh yeah, they used it a while ago. Probably for something stupid, I don’t remember.”
He lets out the breath he’d been holding, letting his shoulders deflate.

Summary
“Hey,” Wilbur breaks the silence, making Tommy jump, “I think I saw you out here playing the piano yesterday. You were good, man.”
Tommy’s cheeks color instantly. He didn’t think anyone had heard him, especially not his soon to be stepbrother. “Um, thanks,” he replies, “Phil told me you played, um…something?” he grins sheepishly, not able to remember exactly what the man had told him.
“Yeah, the guitar. I’m actually in a band with some people I met at college,” Wilbur says, offering a more genuine smile this time.
“Oh that’s sick!” Tommy exclaims, and then, because he can’t seem to stop himself, he says, “maybe I can hear you play sometime, you know when we live together?”
Wilbur pauses and Tommy stills entirely. The older tilts his head, giving him an inquisitive look, “yeah, maybe you can.”
----
Or, Tommy just has to survive his mum's wedding without running into either of her fiance's children. That shouldn’t be too hard (right?)

Summary
Tommy sits up and the long grass he was laying on bends gently, swaying in the breeze. He almost considers just staying here, in this blissfully part of the woods. Then he hears voices in the distance. Distinct, clear voices.
For exactly five seconds Tommy’s brain lags. Then, he realizes he isn’t dead, and instead in an unfamiliar server with strangers waiting for him just outside of the woods. Panic seeps into his chest and he feels his heart thumping at an ungodly pace. Tommy’s hands shake slightly and he shoves them in his pockets to make them stop.
Perhaps if he lays down here someone will find him and take pity on him, give him a quick death. Maybe. Or maybe they’ll be more sinister. Tommy shudders, hoping the people of this server are nothing like the members of his last.

Or, Dream kills Tommy while chasing him and he wakes up somewhere new.

Summary
Tommy is six years old, covered in brightly colored bandaids and missing half of his front teeth. He stands in the kitchen, jumping up and down excitedly and fiddling his fingers wildly at his sides. Through the partly frosted window Tommy can see snow falling outside, landing on trees and decorating them with a beautiful sparkling white.
“Stop that,” Wilbur chides, reaching over from his place at the stove to swat at Tommy’s fidgety hands. He giggles, but stops and clasps his hands behind his back, standing up on tiptoe to see in the pot his brother is stirring.
He leans a little too far forward and without his hands to stable him, he falls right into Wilbur’s back with a small oof! and an affronted grunt from the older. He steps back, rubbing his neck and holding back a laugh.
“Gremlin!” his older brother cries, turning around and pushing him out of the room forcefully. “Out of my kitchen with you,” a beat of silence, then: “or else!”

Summary
Tommy closes his eyes, feeling the wholeness of the memory encompass him before fading away completely.
The grass shifts underneath him as someone sits down next to him under the oak. Tommy opens his eyes and turns his head and there is Wilbur, all gray streaked hair and scarred face.
“Asshole,” Tommy mutters, “I was just mourning you.”
