本来这桩婚事只是一句玩笑话，你的爷爷出身伐木工人，你的爸爸也只是一个小镇警长，而格瑞夫斯家族显赫，军方背景极其深厚。要不是爷爷的关系，你跟这种人根本就是八竿子打不着，更不用说谈恋爱或者结婚了。
可就在你退伍那年，格瑞夫斯的爷爷突然病危，望着年近二十八却还为成家的格瑞夫斯，老人家气不打一出来，也为了在有生之年能看见格瑞夫斯安定下来，他立马想起了那个跟老朋友立下的儿女婚姻约定，因此格瑞夫斯家几乎是在第一时间找到了你，请求你能够实现老人的愿望，哪怕只是跟格瑞夫斯举行一场假仪式。
