Now, he’s come across something else: news about the Little Palace- the only all Deaf university and Fjerda- known for its anti-disability legislation. As a Deaf person himself, it’s hard not to get curious. A little digging later and with a job opportunity to break into the Ice Court, he has his goals set. But he still needs a team…

Jesper Fahey- Deaf- Kaz’s right hand and whose uncontrolled ADHD gives him an affinity for gambling.
Nina Zenik- Deaf- A Ravkan transfer who gave up life at the Little Palace for a boy that betrayed her.
Wylan Van Eck- hard of hearing, deaf- A boy still stuck under his father’s thumb, trying desperately to separate and go his own way.

Now dating said kid as well as said kids dissociated friend, he's finally feeling apart of something, like he belongs. He even gets the chance to dip his toes into some more disability activism through a panel he's invited to by another friend- and hey, look at him making friends!- which is an exciting oppurtunity to share his story.

He takes a breath, letting the air pull through his nose and exit through his mouth. He shakes his head, and resigns to going off his meds for the time being.
Nina gets him eight pills for the next two or more weeks. It’s not ideal but it’s more than what Jesper thought he’d be working with to be honest so he takes the win in the moment. He talks to Nina, calls his psych, resigns himself to rationing his meds and hates how the system causes shortages like this is a manmade issue, a systemic thing that causes this.
He’ll take them on work days he decides, because he’ll never be able to focus otherwise.
