John and Sherlock have public sex on John's stag night, leading to their ASBO and incarceration. But they were so drunk they don't immediately remember it. Well-written story of scenes woven between canon scenes for the remainder of Season 3, drawing elements from S4e1 but satisfyingly fixing it with a solid canon divergence. Mary seems very much like canon Mary, still an assassin, yet written to be likeable if you could ever possibly forgive her for shooting Sherlock. In other words, she's not this story's villain. Well-paced. Angsty infidelity. Ends with parentlock, but only for a couple of scenes.

This John is angry, but not as repressed, a little bit more honest with himself and Mary and Sherlock.
