Summary
Steve’s sprawled on the cushioned floor opposite Robin, feet hanging out the back of the van when guitars start playing. It’s almost dreamy, though the guitars are soon joined by something deeper, a cello maybe, and they morph into a slow and sad melody. Steve throws Eddie a look where he’s next to Robin, perched over his rickety lunch box, expertly rolling a joint. He has ditched his jacket; the bats tattooed close to his elbow dancing in the gloomy light.
“Wait for it,” he says without looking up.
Steve waits for it.
Until the melancholic vibe shifts into something a bit faster and decidedly more rhythmical with drums and a bass setting the pace.
Something perfect to get high.
Steve’s head starts bobbing on its own accord and he pretends not to notice Eddie’s satisfied grin.

Steve's future is— Yeah, fuck if he knew. Because he's stuck working in a shitty video rental store and soon he won't even have his best friend with him anymore, and he lives in a silent empty house and he's gonna be very fucking lonely.
Except, well, there's also Eddie. And they might actually be becoming friends. Or maybe they already are.

After a terrible start to their latest crawl, tensions rise in the SQWK van when Jonathan confronts Steve about his efforts to win Nancy back. Steve has no idea what he's talking about.

Summary
Eddie Munson prides himself on seeing through people. So when he starts noticing Steve Harrington—really noticing—it’s to catalogue the hypocrisy of a former king playing babysitter. But the longer he watches, the more the picture refuses to make sense. Harrington isn't playing a role. The care is real, the patience is bottomless, and Eddie's own prejudices are staring back at him, ugly and undeniable.
A story about observation, misconceptions, and wanting to talk to someone so badly you accidentally threaten them with a weapon.

He isn’t sure why it’s there, fluttering like a hummingbird in a cage, too loud and shimmery and brilliantly colorful to ignore.
Rone ignores it anyway.

Welcome to the Severed Floor of Lumon Industries. It isn’t every day that this place gets a new hire, seeing as to how it operates. Today, however, marks the very first day of work for brand-new employee Jay Sch—apologies, Jay S.—who is as frustrated as he is confused by the situation he finds himself in.
He doesn’t want to work here. He wasn’t even planning on it—in fact, he hadn’t been planning on anything, since he didn’t exactly exist prior to this morning.
But as much as he might try to resist, there isn’t any other option for him. His whole existence is linked to the office—literally. His consciousness is trapped here, with only his physical presence and a person he can’t help but hold a grudge against being granted the ability to leave.
The best he can do is try to figure out what makes this company tick. What's really going on here? Why would anyone willingly choose to Sever themself? And… is there really no alternative for him and his colleagues?

“Are you ok, Captain?” Daisuke looked at him concernedly, Swansea annoyed. He opened his mouth, realising this would be the first time he’d talked in months. The words came smooth. Like nothing had ever happened.
“I’m just really worried about Jim.” His mouth said. He’d thought of this scenario, while waiting to die on that bed. “He’s been acting super irrationally since the news at my birthday party.”
“Anyone in his position would be.” Swansea said, crossing his arms. “With his short temper? It'll blow over, it always does with Jimmy.”
Curly’s jaw clenched, that had been his exact view of the situation, until… well, until. “He’s been threatening me.” He lied. “And himself. He’s been pinging all the captaincy markers for a dangerous level of suicidal ideation.”
He just needed to set this up. Needed to set it up so it wouldn't be a shock when he died.

What happens when a man left to stew in his own thoughts for months gets sent back in time? He finally manages to do what he's imagining for ages.
Or, the one piece of characterisation we get of Curly post-crash (thats not projection or a hallucination) is him laughing when Jimmy picks up the gun, I want to explore that side of him.

“Sorry,” Steve says. “I’m sorry, I know this doesn’t make any sense to you, but can I just–”
Eddie lets him approach, this time. Lets him reach out to touch, to curl his fingers in the hem of Eddie’s shirt.
“Sorry, I know I probably sound crazy, I just––” he pulls it up, stares at Eddie’s side, and then lets out a hysterical little noise that sounds like a cross between a laugh and a sob.
“You’re ok,” Steve says.
His fingers are hot on Eddie’s skin, pressed light and shockingly reverent to the space between his hip and rib cage.
“You’re ok,” he repeats. It sounds like he’s trying to convince himself.
“Hey,” Eddie says. It comes out more breathless than he’d prefer but Steve fucking Harrington has him backed against a wall in a bathroom with his hands up Eddie’s shirt so he thinks a little lack of air is warranted. “Are you ok?”
The fingers on his abdomen flex. "No,” Steve says. His eyes are wide and fathomless and the look on his face is terrible. “No, I’m not even remotely ok.”

“Yeah. But how did you know it was more than the normal amount?”
“…the normal amount,” she repeats.
“Well, sure.” Steve scrubs a hand through his hair. “Everyone wants to kiss everyone a little bit, right? Like. How did you know it was more than the normal heterosexual amount?”
Robin cannot believe she’s going to have to say this out loud. She glances around the empty store just to make sure no one has somehow teleported in during the last two minutes.
“Steve. Steven. There is no normal heterosexual amount of wanting to kiss people of the same gender.”
He crosses his arms. “Well, that can’t be right.”

Summary
As Steve opens his eyes, he’s already standing, breath heaving in his chest. He grabs for the vine around his neck, but his hands find nothing but clammy skin. He scans the dark room frantically, searching for the threat that has his heart pounding in his ears.
His eyes begin to adjust to the dark, and the dark blobs morph from hellish creatures back into his bedroom furniture. Fuck, it was just another nightmare. Vecna is dead, Steve made sure of that personally. They’re safe. He’s in his room, and no one is screaming his name.
He grabs his bedpost and tries to take a steadying breath, but it comes out as more of a sob, strangled off by the tightness in his throat.
“They’re okay,” he manages to choke out. “They’re okay.”
OR
Steve finds himself still struggling with nightmares a few months after taking down Vecna for good. He finds comfort in Eddie, and discovers some important things about himself along the way.

"No," Eleven says to Steve, before turning to Eddie. "You will stay with us."
Her tone leaves no room for debate, and Eddie blinks back at her owlishly. He's so shocked he doesn't even register the noise Steve makes beside him, like he's been elbowed in the gut by some unseen force. Eleven’s nose doesn’t bleed, so he’s probably just being dramatic, anyway. "I will?" Eddie asks, and then, "Who's 'us'?"
Eddie needs somewhere to stay. Steve has a lot of feelings about it.

A way to always make Eddie laugh, blush and relax around him—but as the days and weeks pass, Steve begins to realise that maybe there’s another reason why he cares so much that Eddie Munson finds him pretty.
