Kakashi and Yamato are injured, but it could’ve been much worse for them. After all, no matter how tired and crappy they feel…

His mind gets more restless the longer he spends between those white walls, and he doesn’t want to endure that when there’s no point in it. As soon as he’s healed up and feeling moderately okay, he just wants to leave.
Thankfully, his students don’t mind helping him out with that.

A simple mission goes horribly wrong and Team-7 find themselves stuck in the wilderness injured and facing demons from Kakashi’s past. It escalates from there, leaving them mixed up in a plot to drag Konoha into war and tear a fragile peace in two.
