    Summary

A tourney stand looms up ahead out of the mist, a knight on a black stallion rides ahead of her and suddenly she knows, with a deep, clear certainty what her purpose is, here. She has read of this field, this day. She knows the ill luck that followed it, the hope of a fractured realm extinguished with a mace. She urges Valour on, draws abreast with the knight and he turns to her. A black shield, a red dragon. He raises his visor. “You ride for the Hedge Knight?” His voice echoes strangely in the helmet. He is more handsome than she expected. She nods. “I would know your name, ser.”

“I am a true knight, your Grace.” she says, and passes the Prince, knowing she must answer to him at some point, or else disappear, as fast as she is able.

Ser Brienne of Tarth, Commander of the Kingsguard, is sent by her King on a ride one misty morning in full tourney armour. Sent ninety years back, to the point at which some say it all went wrong, she has a rare and precious chance to make things right. Even if it costs her her foolish heart.

    Summary

“My king,” The knight lowered himself to his knees, hands trembling and white cloak pooling at his feet. He looked nervously around the room and spoke in little more than a whisper. “There’s… something in the dungeon.”

In which a child's wish and a whisper of blood-magic inadvertently resurrects a disgraced queen and her golden dragon beneath the Red Keep. [Baelor/Rhaenyra]

    Summary

Beware: Maegor with teats has begotten Aerion the Monstrous.

Prince Aerion Targaryen once drank a cup of wildfire, convinced it would make him a dragon. It made him a corpse instead—briefly. Fate (or the gods, or some bored Valyrian demon with a taste for jokes) spits him back into the world generations earlier, reborn as the twin brother of Prince Jacerys Velaryon, son of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.

    He isn’t a dragon. Tragic.

Still Aerion decides to do what he does best:

    Cause problems on purpose.

    Summary

Devoured by Sunfyre, Rhaenyra Targaryen’s story should have ended in blood and flame.

Instead, it begins again with a scream ripped from the sky.

Saved by a dragon she has mourned, Rhaenyra falls not into death but into a different time.

Baelor Targaryen was meant to be pious.

Maekar Targaryen was meant to be just.

Rhaenyra was meant to be dead.

The Seven will have to settle for neither.

The gods may judge the living.
But they were never meant to face the reckoning of the dead.

    __

Or the one where Rhaenyra Targaryen doesn’t die, but instead drops out of the sky on Syrax and lands seventy-nine years too late, in a realm that has already turned her life into a badly told story…so naturally, she ends up recruiting the nearest available help:

an absurdly tall, painfully earnest hedge knight named Ser Duncan, who has no idea who she is but is very determined to enter the lists at the Ashford Tourney, and is now, quite unfortunately for him, is now in for a wild ride.

    Summary

What if Aerion, though insane, has a point?

In which, Aerion is more like Daemon Targaryen and refuses to bow down to Andal traditions, and well, that’s it.

    That’s the plot.

House Targaryen with actual balls to back up their insanity.
