Jake Sully struggles with being caught in yet another war, worried sick for his children and Neytiri. He tries his best to keep them safe, but life does not work that way.
Jake centric fanfic, as there are not that many out there and with Avatar 2, a story from the perspective of our ex-marine and now father, who has a hard time dealing with everything but still tries his best.
Starts right after the Omatikaya attacked the maglev and will follow the film, but with slight changes to the timeline and events.Contains spoilers for both Avatar films, if you have not seen them, DO NOT READ.

He’s seventeen and trying to figure out how to get out of bed everyday. How to find the courage to fight the nightmares that still leave him breathless and to raise the little boy whose hair is still bubblegum pink and how to tell the girl who’s become his best friend that he’s in love with her.
He’s seventeen and just wants to live. To stay up all night just to laugh beneath the stars instead of being chased beneath them. To figure out who he wants to be and what he’s supposed to do with this life.
At some point all would be well, but we’re not there yet.
