A small child is rescued and entrusted into Natasha's care, forcing her to come to terms with her past.

Also, Natasha's trying really hard not to kill Tony. It's difficult.

America wasn't like the sitcoms Wanda watched as a child. There were no laugh tracks, falling was painful not slapstick, everything didn’t come out OK after 20 minutes, and the guy in the hospital didn’t go home at the end of the episode. If the Avengers were one big, happy family, then Wanda wasn’t a part of it.
Steve and Sam didn’t trust her and they were right to. Natasha was perfectly professional, as if Wanda hadn’t locked her into her worst memory and walked away. Clint had to return to his family and the other boys were rarely around. And Pietro, the life always sprinting parallel to her own, as crucial as oxygen, lay unnaturally still and silent, his mind closed off.
And then, one day, Natasha brought her daughter to work. And for the first time in four weeks, Wanda felt hopeful. Wanda was good with kids. Really good. And the others adored Steffie. Maybe if the kid warmed up to Wanda, the others would too.
… That wasn't precisely what happened.
Or how Wanda and Steffie hate each other until they don’t, and their sharp edges cut until they stitch.

OR:
When Wanda is hurt on a mission and is now in a coma, she accidentally uses her telepathy to draw the Avengers into her mind to view memories of her life and childhood in Sokovia, the Avengers decide to roll with it and watch Wanda's life story play out in front of them and cant help but feel bad for how the treated the young teen after Sokovia.This will carry though Wanda's childhood before and after the bombings, HYDRA, AoU and when they return to the Tower after Sokovia.

At the base of it all, Wanda first had to adjust to moving to the other side of the world; and her body was making sure to draw it out as long as possible, in the form of throwing up at even the mention of any food, to clogged noses and fevers that would rival any of the worst flu seasons one has ever witnessed.
Lucky for Wanda, she has new… friends that are willing to sit by her side as she sweats - then shivers - profusely, and pukes her guts out.
