Everybody knew that Cassidy was rarely by himself. Whether it was for a simple chat, some tea or coffee or a full-on meal, there was someone around. And people liked him; he was relatively laid back and easy going, a good laugh and unexpectedly quick as a whip.
On the other hand, the elder Shimada preferred to seclude himself from the group. He would rarely get out of the apartment and, if absolutely needed, stalked around the complex in hopes of some peace and quiet before it inevitably erupted into organized chaos.
Ever since he’d come around – with no small amount of begging of his younger brother Genji – he had tried to interact with the other residents as little as possible, with only a handful of exceptions. Surprisingly, Cole Cassidy was among those select few. Unbeknownst to Hanzo, the true-to-life cowboy was in fact able to shut his ever-moving lips when the situation called for it. He had… allowed him in his space, but had slowly grown accustomed to the man and all the quirks that came with it, revealing themselves one at a time.

Even though she wasn’t in the room or even probably paying attention to the med bay from her office, Genji refused to even consider his own “physical therapy” when there was even a chance she could walk in on him. He waited nearly 20 minutes to make absolutely sure that no one was remotely nearby before he reached over to the tablet beside his cot. He propped it up on its built-in stand just off to the side of his hips. The doctor had given him this tablet in an attempt to cure the boredom of being chained to a bed all day, every day. Whilst it did little to achieve that goal, Genji quickly realized that it had internet access… and no website restrictions.
