Bucky doesn’t even notice the time passing before there’s the tell-tale sound of a commotion at the entrance to their floor. Instinctively, Bucky abandons his computer with his charts to check on whoever is coming in, only to find a small team of one man and two women in strapping black suits coming through the doors.
Along with, fucking hell, Captain America in all of his casual clothes glory.

Bucky Barnes is a paediatric nurse in NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, going through the motions. Everything gets a bit more interesting when Captain America comes in to visit some patients, and suddenly Bucky is faced with his crush which is most definitely not a crush on Sam Wilson.

Bucky makes his way over to the stove, where Sam is gently pushing scrambled eggs around in the pan. "Good morning," Bucky starts, smiling when Sam jumps slightly and turns around. "Are you alright sweetheart? You weren't in bed."
Sam's face screws up, where he's looking over his shoulder at Bucky. "Uh, good morning... Sugar?" Sam says in a questioning tone.

Bucky wakes up from a dream that he's convinced was real, so goes to kiss his supposed boyfriend. He's given a rude awakening when Sam doesn't respond in the way Bucky had dreamed he would.

Harry is pulling on his running shorts and one of Louis’ hoodies while talking quietly to the cat. “You caught us in bed sweetheart, neither of us are decent,” He whispers, dropping to a squat in front of her. “You can’t see your dads like that.” Harry adds, scratching gently behind Caramel’s left ear, her leaning into it.

Or, one of their neighbours' cat keeps appearing in their house and Louis has to be strong and say no to his boyfriend who just wants to keep her.

Summary
Not much has changed in the month he’s been able to just walk in rather than use the window. Harry still has all the same things on his walls, his bed is pristinely made and his pyjamas are folded at the end of the bed.
The only noticeable difference is the presence of Louis and their relationship. There’s a framed picture of Louis kissing Harry’s cheek on his shelf, a few of Louis’ clothes are dotted about, and next to Harry’s pyjamas is a bundled up hoodie, one Louis knows is his.
Or, after a year full of messy feelings, Louis and Harry have finally got it right. And with prom around the corner, Louis manages to push his fear aside and ask his boyfriend to be his date.

Just as he spots Gemma and Michal, holding hands and chatting with their faces close, Harry feels a little tug on his sleeve. When he looks down, he has to do his absolute best not to tear up at the little girl with tears streaking down her face.
Without a second thought, Harry squats down in front of her and reaches out for her hand. “Hey, hey sweetheart, what’s wrong?” Harry asks, a lick of panic running through his voice. All the girl does is sniffle. “Where are your parents?” Harry adds, looking over her head for anyone searching for someone.
When he looks back at her, he finds her lower lip wobbling before she breaks out in a big cry. “I can’t find them!” She wails, collapsing on Harry's chest and wrapping her arms around his neck.
