Mack glanced at Will before quickly turning his head to look at something in the distance out the passenger side window. “There’s something I wanted to tell you. But I don’t want it to- I just- It’s not a big deal, and I don’t want to make it one. It just is, and I wanted you to know.”
Will has no idea what Mack could possibly want to tell him that warrants this kind of preposition. “Mack, please don’t tell me you’re secretly an axe murderer or something,” Will tries to joke.
Mack shakes his head, not taking Will’s bait, “I’m gay, Will,” he says. This time, finally looking Will in the eyes.

Mack comes out and that turns Will's world upside down (for some unknown definitely not gay reasons)

Summary
After the Find Your Drink party, Clay flips Zach's car off the road with Zach inside. When Zach wakes up, he can't remember or recognize anything from the past two years, though he is inexplicably drawn to Alex.

Jace blinks, peering at the loft in vague stupefaction. “This,” and Alec’s parabatai’s voice sounds like he’s dragging each noise out from his exhausted mind and forcing it out before he can forget what word he just discovered. “Isn’t the Institute?” The final phrase comes out as a question.
Alec tilts his head in puzzlement, glancing at his brother as if wondering how he could possibly consider that Alec had taken them there instead of here. “No?”
Alec’s head moves back to level and he narrows his eyes instead. “We said we were going home after patrol.”
The ‘ergo, we are home now’ wasn’t said, but it was obvious in implication.

This is, of course, the worst plan that he has ever had. Soldat would never have permitted it. The Handlers would never have permitted it. The Soldier isn’t even sure if he’s still Omega enough, doesn’t know what they actually did to him when he was HYDRA’s asset - he may not possess all of the prerequisite parts to be a ‘real’ Omega anymore, but he knows that he was one once. It was in the half-file he stole on himself, after all.
It’s also another puzzle piece that suggests that he once could have been The Bucky - after all, The Bucky was the Omega of Steve Rogers. But the time for analyzing that is not now.
He has to acquire the necessary items for his risky plan.
And he has to go through with that plan, consequences be damned.

They scooped him out of the discarded trash that was post-army cannon fodder, carved out the good bits, and filled the rest with something Bucky struggled to recognize in the mirror for far too long. Gutted him and remade him in their image, metal arm and all. And now, sure, he’s ‘free’ to make his own choices, but—
He still kills.
There’s something about the way he moves that pulls on Bucky, no matter how much he tries to shrug it off. Not graceful—effortless; makes everyone else look clumsy, Bucky probably included.

Steve pauses after finishing a story about the alien invasion in New York and simply asks, “Do you think he feels the same about you?”
Bucky flexes his hand impulsively, earning an angry look from Steve until he manages to get his fingers back in the places they were before. There’s some bossy nudging involved. Steve’s charcoal fingerprints are left behind. Bucky doesn’t entirely mind them. It makes him feel loved, a little. It makes him feel like someone who actually deserves to be loved.
He doesn’t pretend to not understand Steve’s question.
“I don’t know,” he admits, his voice hoarse.
“I think it’d be nice, if he did.” Steve manages to say the words like they don’t matter, his focus back on his drawing, pencil moving crisply across the paper. “But whatever this thing is that you guys have, I think that’s nice too.”
“Yeah,” Bucky says, glad Steve isn’t looking at him anymore as a ridiculously stupid smile takes over his face. “I think it’s nice, too.”
