Jax mustered up the energy to travel back to his desk, plopped down in his chair, and threw the notebook down in front of him. It fell open to the page labeled CAINE’S KINKS.
He grabbed a pen and tapped the tip of it against the page a few times, before making a few edits.
This is not a love story. This is a revenge story.

The author is more interested in the idea of Caine and Jax being narrative foils than she is in the idea of them having a genuinely abusive relationship. This story includes some spicy bits that are easily skipped - though you might miss some slapstick and character development if you choose to avoid them. This story is mostly comedy, though that might just be to make the tragedy hit all the harder.
