Ever since their fateful crash in 1996, the Yellowjackets tragedy has captured public fascination like nothing else before or since. As their disappearance and eventual recovery coincided with the growth of the modern internet, an online fandom has always existed, whether in the form of newsgroups, blogs, forums, subreddits, or hashtags. Compiling it all would be impossible, and much of it has been lost to time (particularly since the death of Geocities), but several cataloguing attempts have been made. This is one of them.

Her tongue pokes out to swipe along her lips, marveling at the taste, the chapped skin of her mouth, and it should be disgusting, this primal display of her wound, but there’s something wondrous about the way Ava does it, something Beatrice can’t shape into words as of yet – it’s unbecoming, but not unsettling, and Beatrice just watches as Ava heeds her instructions and breathes noisily through her mouth.
