I wrote this out of boredom in school. It was mainly a friend and me, but she was working on a story of her own, so she didn't do anything with this one. All of my work is on Google Docs bc Ao3 is blocked on the school computer, so I go home and transfer the chapters from Docs to here.Hope you enjoy!

Summary
Mythical creatures were heavily favored everywhere in the world. It was near impossible for humans to work anywhere that didn’t only pay minimum wage and wasn’t a dead-end job.
Some humans, those who couldn’t get jobs at all, had the option to sell themselves into a multitude of heavily illegal markets. Businesses that would drain a human of most of their blood in order to feed vampires, let demons experiment with magic on them, have shapeshifters practice shifting by taking their form, or be hunted down by werewolves.
Even if all of those horrible practices and businesses were outlawed, it didn’t stop them from existing.
It was hard for humans to survive anymore.
Tommy was human, but nobody knew. Not a single soul knew that he was human and it was a secret that Tommy was sure he’d attempt to take to his grave.

He had just turned seven when they came.
When the Aliens took him away from his mom on earth.
Tommy was seven when he started his assassin training and soon became a feared phantom in the Alien world as years went on.
Eleven years later, now eighteen, Tommy has been given a new mission; Assassinate the captain and tech expert of one of the most famous ships, the SBI. It should have been easy, it should have been like any other mission.
It was supposed to be like any other mission.
The captain and crew weren't supposed to show him a kindness and mercy he long since forgot. One of the targets wasn't supposed to be someone around his age who somehow taught him to smile again. One of the targets wasn't supposed to fit into the role of father so well.
And one of the crewmates sure as HELL wasn't supposed to be an ex-assassin he used to work with!
Nothing goes as planned on this mission and maybe, for once, Tommy's happy about that.

Tommy had noticed his fellow inmates buzzing recently with a nervous sorta anticipation. But Tommy, like previously stated, has no friends. So he had no idea why till now, guess it was the fresh meat before him getting everyone so antsy.
Tommy decided he would figure it out eventually, they all did. So he just looked back down and continued eating praying mister tall dark and lanky would get the hint.
“Hello there, My name is Wilbur I’m new around here. And you are?” he apparently did not get Tommy’s hint.

Which is why it was such a surprise when someone plopped down right in front of him. The strangers tray loudly hitting the table with the ugly sound of food sloshing and plastic hitting plastic.
He glanced up slightly, eyes meeting a stunning brown. Locking for a moment as he takes in the lanky brunet stranger. Taking one glance at his well groomed curly hair and slight smirky smile Tommy can tell he’s new.

Summary
This isn’t precisely what Tommy thought his life would be like but hey, it could be worse.
He didn’t know what worse would be, (he was pretty sure he had arrived at rock bottom), but he was alive and that was something.
Was the bar low? Maybe. At least it makes it easier to jump over.-----------
Tommy is just a hardworking guy trying to make ends meet which became especially difficult after his roommate lost his job. Life had never been kind to him though and when he gets accidentally mixed up in something he shouldn't, desperation pushes him to make a deal he shouldn't have.
