As soon as he laid eyes on her, Seonghwa felt cold wrongness trickle down his back. He tensed instinctively, watching her with an unreasonable suspicion as she took note of their entrance. Her eyes lingered on him for just a moment too long, and Seonghwa felt the instinct to hiss at her build in the back of his throat.

His social worker likes to argue with him about it. “All Rogues have to be registered in a pack,” she says. “That’s the law,” she babbles.
So here Chan is, standing at the door of a filthily rich pack, with a backpack holding together his life belongings and a prosthetic leg too frail for the weight that it’s bearing.
