Summary
“Try harder.”
Juliette felt something crack. This woman was supposed to be someone she trusted. Someone who’d sent her a note telling her to have no fear. But she was turning her back.
Juliette stared at the tool in front of her, her fingers closing around it, letting the sharp edge of one of the pieces dig into her skin. It wasn’t a conscious decision, but she’d been in this fucked up brain long enough to recognize when she was doing something she used to do before.

Summary
“Everyone,” she announced, her voice somehow carrying through the crowded room, “I have decided we must bring order to the chaos.” The dramatic pause was definitely intentional. “We must predict the future,” she said, and then motioned for someone behind her.
Everyone stared as Dubois rolled out a whiteboard.
“I present to you,” Ilyukhina said somehow even more dramatically, Dubois slowly flipping the board to reveal something written on it, “The Stratt’s Vat Betting Pool!”Or, Ilyukhina starts a betting pool on the Vat.

Ilyukhina groaned, “You can’t do that to us! What if they make us attend propriety meetings? Can you imagine that? Or harassment seminars? I’m killing myself for you, Stratt, I get that you’ve made peace with my imminent death, but do you genuinely want me dead?”
Stratt looked up at her, “I want your love life to stop affecting my work. Which is why I hired someone else to manage it. That’s all there is to it. Now, if you don’t mind, I have a meeting in 87 seconds. Refer any further complaints to HR. I hired him for that, after all.”Or, Stratt hires an HR person. Ilyukhina is not letting that happen. The antics are not half as fun when they're not annoying Stratt.

“I will call you back, Mr. Bai. Take this time to reflect on the words you allowed yourself today and the consequences they could have tomorrow,” she said, and then she clicked ‘End Call’ and stood up, her eyes meeting Grace’s, “What is it?”
He stared at her face, as if unable to find words, until he eventually stammered out, “Olesya tried to participate in Hill’s experiment…”
Or, Eva Stratt is already not having a good day when Ilyukhina's antics cause a minor explosion.

Summary
Grace could not for the life of him imagine her be anything but this.
‘This’ stood for the woman currently filming a TikTok video with the enthusiasm of Ryland’s sixth grade students. Which was to say, there was a lot of enthusiasm.
“And this is Grace, he’s like Stratt’s little lapdog second in command. And scientist! Say hi, Grace!”Or, Olesya Ilyukhina makes a TikTok account. It is a global disaster.

She's fine, of course she's fine. She's been through therapy, she's been given the green light.
She's fine.
Maybe if she says it enough the new team won't see through the cracks in her façade. But of course, Aaron Hotchner had always seen right through her.
