Juliette stared at the tool in front of her, her fingers closing around it, letting the sharp edge of one of the pieces dig into her skin. It wasn’t a conscious decision, but she’d been in this fucked up brain long enough to recognize when she was doing something she used to do before.

Everyone stared as Dubois rolled out a whiteboard.
“I present to you,” Ilyukhina said somehow even more dramatically, Dubois slowly flipping the board to reveal something written on it, “The Stratt’s Vat Betting Pool!”Or, Ilyukhina starts a betting pool on the Vat.

Stratt looked up at her, “I want your love life to stop affecting my work. Which is why I hired someone else to manage it. That’s all there is to it. Now, if you don’t mind, I have a meeting in 87 seconds. Refer any further complaints to HR. I hired him for that, after all.”Or, Stratt hires an HR person. Ilyukhina is not letting that happen. The antics are not half as fun when they're not annoying Stratt.
