Yushi couldn't quite pinpoint when everything had started to feel so... practical. He used to spend hours intoxicated by his own thoughts and strategies, tossing and turning day and night in pursuit of perfection. He was obsessed with every detail, refining his movements, spending countless late nights "swallowing" the practice room—spinning and spinning, sweating and falling.
That was Yushi. But not when it came to Maeda Riku.
Maeda? A year older. To know him was to fall hopelessly in love with him. He was beautiful, standing out like a star born for the stage. He had the temperament of a black cat, and his nasal voice was his greatest charm. Despite being the elder, he often acted younger than the maknae himself, a trait that constantly caught Yushi off guard.
or, in the hollow silence of a practice room at 3 AM, Yushi and Riku can no longer mask the hunger they feel for each other.

Tokuno Yushi spent years training under SM Entertainment after giving up football to chase his dream of becoming an idol. Inspired by Kai from EXO, Yushi endured difficult trainee life in Korea, struggling with language barriers, harsh evaluations, and repeated disappointments. Just when he began losing hope after failing to debut before, SM announced a new Japan-based NCT unit, giving him one final chance.
Everything changed when new Japanese trainees arrived, including Maeda Riku. From the moment Yushi noticed Riku’s blue sneakers, tan skin, and unexpectedly pretty appearance, he felt both curious and threatened. Riku quickly proved himself talented, adapting rapidly to training, learning choreography easily, and impressing trainers with his natural rap skills. Instead of disliking him, Yushi became strangely drawn to him while also seeing him as serious competition.
During rehearsals, Yushi became increasingly distracted by Riku’s warm personality, comforting scent, and attractive appearance. When Riku casually removed his hoodie during practice, Yushi completely lost focus, realizing Riku had become far more dangerous to his composure than he ever expected.

“Good,” Yushi said, probably a bit colder than necessary.
“Perfect,” Riku replied, rolling his eyes. Then, as if in sync, they both turned on their heels and headed to their respective sides of the court. Whatever. Yushi didn't give a fuck. Who cared if Maeda didn't like him? He would lead the Wish to victory with or without his help.
Unfortunately for Yushi, it turned out Riku was too damn good at basketball to ignore.

Riku woke at two in the morning to the sound of something hitting the floor.
He just lay there for a second. Then he heard the ceramic break in two. So he got up.
The front door was still locked—he checked—yet there was a guy sitting on his kitchen counter.
He looked to be in his mid-twenties, with light hair pulled back. He wore thin white clothes, unsuited for the cold. Dangling his legs off the counter, he stared at the shards with a look more apologetic than panicked.
Large white wings were pressed firmly against his back. The feathers possessed a faint, unusual shimmer that didn't seem to originate from the streetlamps outside.
He was striking. His features were soft. He felt out of place under the harsh fluorescent light of a kitchen at two in the morning.
Riku took this in, processed it, and moved on to the immediate problem.
"I'm very sorry," the guy said. Quietly. Not to Riku. To the mug.
Riku stood in the doorway. "How did you get in here?"
The person looked up. "I was sent."
"By who?"
"The heavens."
A beat.
"I'm a cupid," he added. "My name is Yushi. You have a case."

Yushi no sabe exactamente en qué momento empezó a mirarlo de más, pero sí sabe que, cuando aparece la oportunidad, decide entrar al equipo por una razón bastante simple: acercarse.
Lo que no esperaba era que Riku también lo notara y mucho menos, que quedarse fuera tan difícil.
