Objectively, Oscar knew that he was welcome in the designated Pack Room. Even if Mark hadn’t walked him through the dynamics of the Paddock Pack himself before sending Oscar off to pre-season testing, it had been in the official debrief that the McLaren Team had given him, as well as the less-than-official debrief Lando had subjected him to shortly thereafter.
Because the Paddock Pack was always open to any driver – past or present – should they choose to join.
But, on a very personal level, Oscar was afraid. Afraid that the other drivers still harboured some secret, vile resentment towards him for how he’d entered the sport. Terrified that they wouldn’t welcome him, when he was responsible for pushing such a beloved driver out. Frightened of rejection, when he was so desperately craving connection.

Summary
Max Verstappen hasn’t had the easiest life. He’s been living with his father from a young age and they
don’t have the typical father-son relationship. Fathers should be kind and loving, giving you hugs,
saying how much they love you and all that stuff. Max can’t even remember the last time his dad gave
him a hug or told him he loved him. All he has known is pain and it got even worse when he joined
F1. He’s been put under so much pressure and it’s becoming too much for him to handle, he’s slowly
breaking down. Thanks to his father he got PTSD, an eating disorder, self-esteem issues and the
occasional thoughts to harm himself. To make things even worse, he has the biggest crush on his rival
Charles Leclerc.
What happens when one day Max shows up at Charles’ doorstep?'I'm sorry I didn't know where else to go,' the badly beaten up Red Bull driver says with tears streaming down his face.
'Omg Max, what happened to you?! Come inside quickly,' the Ferrari driver says ushering him inside and with worry all over his face.
How will things continue? Will Charles be able to help Max? Will Max ever get free from his dad? Will Charles return Max's feelings?

Max Verstappen seems like the type of person who's self-centered, pedantic, and rude; at least when you first meet him.
He is too honest to the point of being a hazard to the reporters (some reporters are quite annoying, can't blame Max entirely for that one)
Also, he can be aggressive towards people when things don't go his way (Jos Verstappen, we're looking at you)But in the eyes of Daniel Ricciardo, he's just Maxie, a sweet boy who likes to cuddle and has so much trauma to unpack that chooses to regress to a younger headspace to process his childhood and abusive father.

“I wish I could change that for you.” Daniel breathes, readjusting his weight so he can brush his finger past Max’s forearm.
“Hmm.” Max hums. "Me too."
or, alternatively, the one where Daniel wishes he could change Max's childhood the night of a falling star and wakes up to a toddler that looks an awful lot like Max Verstappen.
