Summary
He may have died, but there would never be another Chrissy Cunningham looking down on him from the ceiling of his uncle’s trailer. And, as he closed his eyes for the last time, he was not haunted by her eyeless sockets and silently screaming jaw, as he had been every time he blinked since the day he watched her die.
Instead, all he saw was her bright smile and the way her eyes glimmered in the afternoon sun that day in the woods.
And then––
He woke up.or
Eddie Munson dies in the Upside Down. He wakes up in bed.

Summary
The first time Eddie Munson watches Chrissy Cunningham die isn't the worst. It's the second, because he had thought she was going to live this time.
//
The universe made a cosmic mistake the day Chrissy Cunningham was allowed to die. It set off a chain of events that led to catastrophe, at first local, then global, and eventually interdimensional. It led to the end of all there is, was, and would ever be.
But the universe is rather interested in self-preservation. It couldn’t save itself in the future, but it could save itself then.
If only someone would get it right.

Summary
When Chrissy finally woke up, she was mute. People are sympathetic at first, but when she doesn’t magically get better, she slowly finds herself as one of the ‘freaks’. Lucky for her, there’s one freak in particular she really doesn’t mind finding herself beside.

Summary
It was really just his luck that a hulking monster lumbered out of the woods and directly onto his driveway. Just his luck that he threw enough parties when his parents were gone that the neighbors had long tuned out any noise that came from his yard. Just a nice cherry on top of the fucking cake that, even if anyone did hear him screaming when claws tangled in his jacket and pulled, Steve honestly wasn’t sure they’d have cared enough to bother anyway.
OR:
Months before El ripped open the gate at Hawkins Lab, the Demogorgon started ripping tears of its own. Months before it found Will Byers, it found Steve Harrington.
