Summary
Duke Kinard was already waiting at the altar. His back was turned, but from what Buck could make out of him, they were about the same height and build. Buck took his first few steps. The Duke never turned to look at him, but everyone else did.
Other than his mother, there were no familiar faces. No encouraging looks. No real smiles. Everyone here was a stranger and they probably couldn’t even begin to understand why this was happening at all.
He held his head high and before he knew it, he was there. The Duke turned.
Buck was stunned.
Blue eyes met his with a stoic expression. He had a jaw that could have been used to cut glass, a dimpled chin. An aquiline nose that fit him perfectly. Duke Kinard was without a doubt, the most attractive man that Buck had ever met and he was about to become his husband.

Summary
That spring Steve hears a lot about what’s big in algebraic topology from Mary as she talks a mile a minute in the car passenger seat, across the dinner table, under worn-out beach umbrellas or climbing up him like he’s still her favorite jungle gym though she’s almost too big now. What he gathers mostly is that, in order to classify shapes, mathematicians spend a lot of time trying to distinguish between differences that matter and those that don’t.
And isn’t that the trick in life, thinks Steve: figuring out what matters.
(Doesn’t help in explaining Bucky, though, but he’s not sure what would.)

Summary
Magnus feels scraped raw and exhausted, like his bones have turned to jelly. He might've over did it a bit, he realizes, as darkness seeps in from the corners of his vision. Doing such heavy-weight magic so soon after he reawakened it left him about to pass out in the middle of a dying down Alice in Wonderland-themed party.
As his legs give away, he lists sideways, cringing at the prospect of meeting the ground, hard.
Well, at least pretty boy isn't here to see his lamentable state, is the last clear thought he has.
Or, Alternate Magnus deals with the aftermath of getting his magic back while being pursued by a persistent pretty boy who makes him want to let go of his carefully crafted defenses.

Summary
Getting drunkenly married in Vegas had been just as easy as movies and TV shows led Tommy to believe. Where reality fell short was how easy it was to annul such a marriage. It was, in fact, just as difficult to annul a marriage to a near stranger as any other kind. You could get married in five minutes by a knock-off Elvis in a twenty-four hour wedding chapel, but you actually had to go to court and sit in front of a judge to dissolve it. Tommy and Evan never got around to it.
