Upon finding the mangled living corpse of his Master's killer, Obi-Wan is presented with a choice that shakes his understanding of the Force and the principles of the Order - kill Maul and take the easy way out, or truly face the cycle of violence and help him instead?AU in which Savage never finds his way to Maul and it is instead Obi-Wan who discovers him. Making the pious choice seems easy to the Jedi around him, but hurt is an ugly thing and love a bloodthirsty one. While saving him is the 'Jedi' thing to do, Obi-wan is awash with regret and grappling with feelings he thought he'd left behind a long time ago. Does he believe in the principles of the Jedi Order enough to believe they can reach even Darth Maul?

Instead of the Winnebago, Buffy agrees to the Porsche, but it turns out the road trip is just the start of the adventure. Confronted with living in close quarters and having to adjust to a different dynamic, Buffy finds herself coming to terms with the changes Spike is attempting to make in himself. Meanwhile, Spike is struggling with those changes, but knows he can't stop loving her. All the while, there's still a Hell God out there, and they'd both die to protect Dawn.
Both Buffy and Spike know this won't end well, they just have no idea what that will look like.

Technically AU from the start of the series, but focuses mostly on the last part of season 4, season 5, and season 6 (as well as the gap in between). TLDR: Spike gets more chances to bond with Dawn and Joyce, setting off a chain of events that eventually causes all the Scoobies learn communication skills, with the bonus side effect of love and devotion shenanigans. Summary
The swipe of brilliant blue under Maul’s collarbone was unexpected, to say the least. It was matched by the red smeared over Obi-Wan’s knuckles, a dark, bloody crimson that had made his heart race with fear and anger whenever he’d seen a shade too close to it since Theed.
The galaxy seemed to halt around them as though holding its breath, waiting to see what would happen next.
One accidental touch changes everything. The fate of the galaxy shifting as colours bloom over the skin of foes. But trust is difficult in such trying times, and convincing Maul to name his Master is a task that seems impossible.

When Dawn Summers popped into existence in 2001, her and everyone around her had their memories altered to remember a new life that she'd been a part of. And that includes Spike. So what exactly happened between these two that the first time Spike mentions Dawn he calls her Buffy's 'brat kid sister' and that by the time Dawn is sneaking out of her house to find Spike lurking/standing about she's not afraid of William the Bloody in the slightest?
