“Crap - sorry.” He snatches at the fast food wrappers and empty take-out cups littering the interior. “I uh, didn’t think about how you’d actually have to…” he trails off, distracted by his hasty yet ineffective attempts at clearing the clutter. Finally satisfied, Tiger chucks a pair of sky-blue sandals (the kind you’d see on a preteen girl) somewhere behind the passenger seat and invites me in. A bottle of pink nail polish rolls out from some dark corner and taps against my heel.
“Alright,” he breathes, plopping down behind the wheel. “Ready to roll.”

A foreign feeling, but a welcome one. It had been a long time since last she was held. The sensation seemed to flow through her, hurtling down the traces of her nerves. Then more voices, fading in and out in clarity.
