Summary
It was cold. Freezing really, the kind of cold that soaked through your clothes and your skin, seeping into your bones and freezing them solid. Hugo hated it with every chilled fiber of his being, he wanted out of it. Through the clouds of snow that blowed into his face he could faintly see a small orange light. Please god let that be fire.
Evidently, it was a village. An abandoned, torn down village with large black spikes invading every bit of the surrounding area. Frightening...but not really his problem. He pulled himself away from staring at the spectacle back to the source of the orange glow. Maybe they left in a hurry and there was still a fire going, he had to get to it before he froze to death.
When Hugo shoved open the door, he was not met with a roaring fire in a stone fireplace. He was met with a block of ominously glowing amber, a man trapped inside, and a boy crouched down, sobbing in front of it.
The more polished version of a previous rewrite where Hugo joins post-QFAD, this time with a few changes. (that being, uh oh I did another season 2 rewrite sis better stop me)

Since Berkians can remember, every person in the teenage years will gain the ability to shapeshift into their spirit animal. You don’t know what age you’ll gain the ability exactly but it always happens in your teens.
Throughout Berkian history, not one Viking has ever had a dragon as their spiritual form. From what I’m guessing it’s because Vikings loath dragons so much, hating dragons is part of their personality so it makes no sense for a dragon loathing Viking to be a dragon.
I wonder what would happen if a Berkian turned into a dragon?

“Allura and I need to enter the white hole alo-" Lotor had started, but stopped suddenly, fixing Lance with wide eyes.
Lance only tilted his head and scratched his cheeks.
Allura, disturbed by Lotor's sudden stop, turned around as well and needed only a tick until her face fell and she gasped. "Lance!"Lance is part-altean and he has to cope with the new knowledge.
