This needs more people to read it. This writer is VERY good. Very visceral, writes with real immediacy. Does whump like no one. Really good descriptions of internal experiences, thought, despair, etc. JUST my favorite sort of fic, fully realized characters, mature adults, realism, grit, going to go find other works by this author now.

“What are you doing here,” is all he can think to say. He whirls around, and there he is. On Crowley’s right, standing there like he’d never left. Where he belongs, Crowley’s mind helpfully supplies. He wishes he could punch himself in the brain, knock the thoughts right on out of there.

I read the Witcher books, and Geralt is a sensitive boi about the whole mutant thing. Multiple times he mutters to himself about how THoSe PeoPLE don't think he has FeElings.
So I just really think he'd be charmed as hell by Netflix Jaskier. It would be big 'I've had him for a day and a half and if anything happened to him I'd kill everyone in this tavern and then myself' energy.
So I imagined what would happen if Book Geralt met Netflix Jaskier that day at that tavern in Posada. (Spoiler he loves him.)

Geralt was injured on a hunt and is still recovering, and Jaskier seems to have assigned himself his willing caretaker and nurse, which leaves Geralt confused and baffled. While they share a room and Geralt recovers, there's an emotional tension building between them, and it seems inevitable that it will find resolution sooner rather than later.
