The dossier for the mission indicated that the culture of the planet placed significant importance on bonding. There was nothing else in the report detailing the specifics of bonding but Obi-Wan and Anakin had assumed that it could mean any type of bond. They still had their master-padawan bond. It should have covered it. But it didn’t.
Cody knows what he has to do. Not everything goes as expected. There are a few surprises along the way.

For a man already called Butcher, how worse could his day to day life get from the blue balled frustration of some viscount of a tiny coastal town?
He squares his shoulders after he considers the question, knowing already that the answer is “much fucking worse.”
